WELCOME TO SOFIA

On behalf of the Bulgarian Skating Federation
and the Organizing Committee I have the great pleasure to welcome you to Sofia, the host city
of the ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships 2010.

We meet here the big short track family shortly after the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver
and for the second time after the 1999 Worlds. Just a year ago we gathered again to enjoy a big short track event on Bulgarian soil – one of the series of the ISU World Cup.

We do it again with in a close co-operation with
the ISU Officials, ISU Representative, ISU STSS
TC Representative, The Organizing Committee, sponsors, volunteers and fans.

I would like to thank all of them working hard together for the successful organization of the Event.

I believe we’ll witness once again the incredible moments here in the Winter Sports Hall by the top skaters of the planet aspiring to the title of World Champion.
